Hello everyone, i have a problem my Scientific Atlanata digital cable box, it resets it's settings everytime its turned on and off, is it defective? i have time warner cable, should i exchange the cable box?

For example if i set the Output resolution to be ONLY 1080i, after a restart it resets back by enabling ALL resolutions 480p,720p and 1080i.

guys someone please help me

1. When you say "turned on and off," do you mean from the front panel button or the remote control? If so, you should get the box replaced. It is defective.

2. If you turn it on/off by disconnecting the AC with an external power manager or strip, that is normal. It is supposed to download and reset with each cycle.
