Does anyone know of a decent .M2T splitter? I have a couple files I want to put on youtube and they have a 2 gig limit. These files are 9-13 gigs each. I just need them cut down to size but preserve their HD quality. Also if at all possible I'd like to have something with the smallest learning curve. I don't need any other editing or anything like that, just a splitter. These are files that I'm keeping from a friend's camcorder and I probably won't have anymore files like these for a good while as I'm still in the dark ages using a VHS-C camera. Thanks in advance.

This will do exactly what you need: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/tsMuxeR

use the split&cut tab, there you define the size of chunks...

Cool, I will give it a try tonight when I get home.

Alright, I have that downloaded now and I'm clueless. I'm not able to get it to work because of maybe the files? Its saying it will do M2TS files. I'm getting error messages when I try and load any of the files.

One more question...I have a bunch of .xmp files that have the same names as the M2T files. Is there a certain way these need to be joined for a full video? I really don't know much about this at all. You ask me how subwoofers are made and I'll build one for you and show you, but this is all new to me (hdv).

I also have a single .olproj file. Don't know what that is either.

what is the source of your .m2ts files, what codec is video? use mediainfo software which will show all informtion about a media file...
