I am going to be mounting my speakers up high near the ceiling and I am unsure what model of speaker brackets/mounts to use. These are my speakers that need to be mounted.
Paradigm atom titan performance series book shelves (fronts)
Paradigm atom titan center channel cc-370
Paradigm atom monitor book shelves (surrounds)
I have to mount them in the air... i cant afford the destruction my son could do to a speaker that is at his height :)
So what mounts do you suggest I use? I will have to angle them towards my couch, so height adjustment is important. I will also want to be able rotate them horiz. and get perfect positioning. I have looked at the monoprice speaker mounts... but they have some negative reviews. anyone have and use the monoprice mounts?
give me your 2cents
Paradigm titans are not small speakers. You'll need a sturdy wall mount.

It can be rotated 360* too.

that btech does not have a weight rating... any ideas?
monimount looks to have some nice mounts that can do up to 30lbs. Wanna suggest a website that sells them?
The BTech BT77 has a weight rating of 55lbs. It'll easily hold your Paradigms

What do you guys think about using mounts meant for small LCD tvs? Monoprice has them for less then 20 bucks, and they hold ALOT more weight then most of the speaker mounts.

well... I like the look and design of the BT77... .but I ordered my speakers off of ebay, and shipped them to my fathers house (I live in canada....he lives on the border). So I do not know the size of my speakers. I guess I have to dig up some info on these speakers I bought

Most likely you could, as long as you don't mind drilling holes in your new speakers and as long as there is enough empty space in the back of the speaker to place this mounting plate which seems rather large.
With the BT77, there is no need to drill the speakers.

So is it Atom or Titan? Those are two different speakers. The Titan is actually pretty big, and 12" deep, so you can't use the BT77 mount with it.

I use the BT77s for some Polk RTIA3s which are 14" deep - but for really securing the speaker to the mount, I did use zip ties. One could also use a velco strap used in telecommunication racks to hold down a speaker onto the BT77.

Like you said, with the BT77, you don't have to drill holes into the speaker cabinet.
Probably not an issue if you don't plan on ever upgrading the speakers. Holes in a speaker detract from its resale appeal.
Just tossing out some suggestions....:p
