I have searched the forums for xbr9 post calibration thoughts. Not really much found unless I go to the owners thread. I wanted to see what the pros had to say about their results with the 52 or 46 xbr9.

Easy to calibrate ... just like all the other sony models. All done the same way. Still no CMS on the TV ... a take it or leave it approach.

Variable LED makes black levels better ... but inconsequential in the calibration process. Best to use a spectro to do it ... although the new Chroma 5 probes came be profiled to work with them with the calman software.
