View Full Version : 8300HD & WD DVR expander 73shark 09-24-09, 09:14 PM Western Digital says the DVR should turn the external HD on and off as req'd. SureWest can't find any documentation supporting this for the 8300HD. Consequently the HD appears (two ring lites are on) to be on all the time. The HD (500GB) works fine as far as recording goes. The last one was on for a year & a half or longer, but it's full of shows that I don't want to erase, so I just got a new HD unit. It may not be as good as the last one, every once in a while it stutters. |
