Ok so I just had cable hooked up at my place and this box is acting goofy. When you go into the master menu, where you can set the output resolutions for HD and SD. I set mine at 1080i and 480p, respectively. I can verify everything is working right by hitting the display button on the tv which indicates it's receiving a 1080i signal. Great... problem is that after a day or so it loses this setting and defaults back to 720p and 480i. For the life of me I can't figure this out. I've had this type of box at other places before and have never had this problem.

I'm guessing I'm going to have to take this box back and exchange it for another one. The question I have is this: My company has two different boxes, The DCT-6416 III and the DCH-6416... they continually give out the DCT, but I've seen the DCH in their office. I'm guessing the DCH is the newer slightly better model? Should I be trying to get my hands on one of these instead?

Is your STB conneted directly to you TV or is there a receiver in between them?
I have seen some reports of Motorola boxes(I forget which ones) going back to their default resolutions( 720p, 480p) when then can no longer sense any connection over their HDMI output.
