You can Google or Bing on the model number and find lots of llnks.
The 6200 models just tuners, The 64xx models are PVRs

thanks walford, reason i asked is that i have the 6416 and wanted complete HD package. went to charter's office and told them this. they gave me a 6200 and made no mention of the 6416. told me to install and then call to activate pay hd channels. the only visual difference i see is on the 6416. it has a port labeled "eSATA". am i missing something here? usually higher model numbers indicate an improved product. i don't want to go through the hassle of changeout if unnecessary. Thanks

As indicated above, the 6416 is simply the 6200 with DVR capability (and a second tuner).

With Motorola boxes, the model number indicates basic functionality and capacity. The first three letters (i.e. DCT, DCH, DCX) refer to the product generation.

Thanks bfdtv. i have no idea what the cust. svc. rep. was thinking. Must have misunderstood me. Anyway mission accomplished and the 6416 works just fine.
