As I was flipping around just now, lo and behold, they were showing Independence Day in SD, in 4:3. No bizarre stretch.

I admit I don't watch much of TNT, but why do they show movies in SD on their HD channel? There isn't a HD transfer of Independence Day? That movie is only 13 years old (has it really been that long? :eek: )

I'd LOVE to know why they stretch a show like Bones that was done in HD. I wrote them complaining , telling them I"d like to watch it, but won't because of this. Got no reply...

Does it really matter? A widescreen movie being shown as 4:3 or stretched? Both are garbage as is TNT.

And you never will get a reply. They know exactly what they are doing. And they have a reason for doing such. They really don't care about your opinion and never will.

Someone should start a "Razzies" type award show dedicated to the worst of the networks.

They stretch CSI:NY also compare the episodes from Spike with those on TNT...

I don't know....TLC's bug is pretty bad. It looks like your sig (complete with red/non-transparent station bug)

The Travel Channel bug is horrible especially with the writing on top of it and whenever I pass Lifetime it seems to never have just their logo anymore.

I saw Independence Day last night on TNT HD. You can tell it's stretched when you don't see more on the sides on the SD channel, right? I definately didn't see more on the sides.

Does anybody know if ABC Family HD stretches sometimes too? I saw Home Alone 2 and it look stretched.
