Hi All,
Hoping you can help me out. I've got my basic cable box in the living room, and I've got my other TV in my bedroom, hooked directly into the cable line. The TV hooked up to the box is running fine, always has been, but the TV that is hooked directly into the line has been suffering for the past month. Before this recent period of suffering, it worked great. It picked up the standard and hd channels just fine, never had a problem. Then, starting about a month ago, the bedroom TV started having problems picking up the hd channels. After a re-scan, the issues only seemed to get worse. The analog channels came in grainier, and the hd channels showed up with a lot more lag (unwatchable). I re-scanned for the channels again about a week ago and ended up losing many channels, both analog and digital. I have since re-scanned multiple times, but to no avail. (Channels which once showed up great in analog now only show up as static with a "no signal" message.)
Any ideas what is going on? Is the tuner in my TV dying, or perhaps the signal getting weak/distorted? The line in the bedroom is split once (not sure how many times the cable line is split beneath the house), one to the TV and one to the cable modem.
Is Comcast doing something to its signal?
Let me know if I can provide more information.
Edit: TV in the bedroom is Westinghouse W3223
