Hello guys,
I read in some reviews that this new sony model has a low light switch (not the IR). The feature is on the IR button, but you can select low light instead.
What does the low light feature do ?
Is it just a slow shutter ?
Is it 1/60 or lower ?
Thank you

Drops down the shutter to 1/30th. Result: slightly better low-light response (albeit slightly noisier too). Not groundbreaking, but useful to have.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess, it adds blurr when moving fast.
I usaually use 1/60 on my canon hv10, but it does not add blurr.
If I go to 1/30...forget about..blur everywhere, and not outwashed in bright light.
1/6o is the border. I can still use he camcorder in bright light..
thank you for letting me know

Low-light response vs crispness of the image is indeed the tradeoff here. It's seems that you're preferring crispness, but others might enjoy being able to grab just a little more light at the expense of having the image a little blurrier.
It is an option, for both the Canon and Sony... so at the least, it's not forced upon anybody. :)

Thank you, I admire this forum, because I think there are really frank unswers.
Thanks
