I'm trying out the new look for the weekly thread in the first post. Let me know if you would like to see anything else added to the first post each week. I feel the new looks is easier to read and now includes the team's records.
Also if you see any errors please let me know, most of what you see above is pulled from an Excel workbook, so there may be some errors I have not found yet.
humdinger70 09-30-09, 11:20 AM Ahem, sticky this...
LilGator 09-30-09, 11:41 AM Dallas is 2-1 ... just sayin' :D
humdinger70 09-30-09, 11:52 AM We got good stuff this weekend in San Diego because the Chargers are on SNF at Pittsburgh.
Fox early - Giants @ Chiefs (we won't get switched because it's a game vs AFC West opponent)
Fox late - Cowboys @ Broncos (ditto - and let's see how real this seaon's Broncos team is)
CBS - Jets @ Saints (only one game this week, we could have had Ravens @ Patriots)
I'm happy because I get to see both NY teams (I usually don't get to see any except via highlights) and I want to see how good these teams really are.
My hope for SB XLIV - Giants vs. Jets - but then I've been hoping for that for 3 decades! :D:D

We are getting both NY teams this weekend? Thought I lived in Rancho Penasquitos, not Hoboken :) Both are 3-0, looking forward to seeing them as well.
Dallas is 2-1 ... just sayin' :D
Thank you, the Monday Night results did not make it in to system, that is why Dallas had the wrong record. It is now fixed.

GAK! :eek::mad::eek::mad:
San Diego's been switched from Giants/Chiefs to Seahawks/Colts! WTF? WTF?
Chargers don't play Seahawks or Colts this season!! We do play BOTH Giants and Chiefs!!
What the hell is KSWB thinking???
humdinger70 10-01-09, 02:41 PM FYI, re: San Diego early Fox TV game switch...
I've sent an e-mail to KSWB and to Jay Posner at San Diego Union-Tribune, hoping they can get that game switched back.
If I get a response I'll let you know.

I don't know, both games would appear to be lopsided.

Got answers back on my queries.
From KSWB, I got one (a form letter) from their receptionist (their receptionist? Oy!) that said it was a network decision.
From Jay Posner at the U-T:
Just heard back from Fox in L.A. They made the call, thinking more AFC
interest in Colts. Can't really disagree. I'm sick of the Chiefs;
they're horrible. I don't think you can schedule the whole TV season
based on who the Chargers have coming up. I don't want to watch the
crappy AFC West all season. I want to see good games (not that there's
any guarantee Seattle-Indy will be any good).
Hope this doesn't change your opinion of me too much.
Thanks for your interest.
Jay
They could still change their minds, but I doubt it. Well, the game vs. the Giants (at the Meadowlands) is only 5 weeks away.
mikepier 10-02-09, 02:33 PM Blacked out.

dcowboy7 10-02-09, 09:04 PM This is great....from footballsfuture.com:
Packers vs Vikings Drinking Game
All participants must take a drink every time one of the following occurs during the broadcast -
1) The word "gunslinger" is mentioned.
2) The word "schism" is mentioned.
3) The phrases "plays/looks like a kid out there" or "that's how football is supposed to be played" is used.
4) Brad Childress looks confused on the sidelines.
5) The cameras pan to the luxury boxes to show either Ted Thompson or Deanna Favre.
6) Anytime Mid Game, ESPN shows a highlight of Brett Favre throwing a TD AGAINST the Minnesota Vikings.
7) An announcer mentions Brett Favre's Age.
8) The phrase, "That's why the Vikings brought him here" is used.
9) Brett Favre is sacked.
10) Every time a Wrangler or the new Sears Commercial w/ Favre airs.
Prepare to be wasted.

Funny shet right there! ;)

I have taken these ideas and modified the first post. It might need a few more tweaks.
Are the colors for each network a good idea?
Do you prefer just the City names of the teams like before or the City and team name?
Is there anything else that can be made better?
Splicer010 10-03-09, 01:31 PM I think it looks GREAT. You have really gone above and beyond as a fan IMHO. :)
Let me know if you would like to see anything else [changed in] the first post each week.
List the Sunday regional games in sequential order by ST channel number.
List the Sunday regional games in sequential order by ST channel number.
Good idea. I will still keep all the 1 PM and 4 PM games together but have it sorted by the channel number.
