Hoping someone can help me with this problem...I bought one of the Artec Converter boxes to recover my lost TVGOS on my Pioneer DVR-533. I have the coaxial input split between my TW Cable Line and the Artec box. Also am running the Yellow/white/red connections from the Artec to the DVR. I am able to receive KCBS channel 2 which is noted as the host station for my zip code - 91316. However I've left the unit off for several days and have yet to receive any listings in the TV Guide. I'm using the IR blaster from the DVR, but is this necessary? Can't I just leave the STB tuned to channel 2.1 to get the listings? I just wanted to be able to download the guide with the Artec and switch inputs to cable to watch/record tv. Also, something is strange because my clock is set - but it is 7 hours ahead of the current time. If I set it manually it just resets to 7 hours ahead.

Would it be easier to hook up my Scientific Atlanta Cable box (HD3250) using the IR Blaster to retrieve the TVGuide listings? Would this even work?

I didn't know that the digital converter boxes would work if connected to cable, instead of an antenna.

Sorry,

just to clarify. I have the Artec connected to an OTA antenna. Then the coaxial output run to a splitter with ant/cable outputs - the output from the splitter connects to the coaxial input on the DVR. I have the switch set to antenna to (hopefully) download the TV Guide listings and then would like to set the switch to cable to watch/record programming and switch back to OTA antenna feed to download listings every night.
