I know most displays should be calibrated with sharpness set at 0 when calibrated to ISF standards, since otherwise they are adding Edge enhancements to the picture.

While i agree this, lately i saw many reviews on my model tv that recommends Sharpness at 50.

This add incredible amount of edge enhancement to the picture and i find difficulty to understand why these people set the tv like that and recommend these kind of settings. Even with Properly tools to calibrate the tv. as measurement shows on AVMag review.

Here are a few examples of Professional Reviews recommending high sharpness setting to the same tv, which i own.

Not necessarily true. The correct setting is the flat setting. Nothing added, and nothing taken away. Often this is at zero or at a default neutral centered position (maybe 50 for eg), but there are also many cases where that is not so.

They may not know what they're doing. set-to-set variation etc. This is why copying other peoples settings is irrelevant to calibration, and is arbitrary.

I'm not familiar with this particular TV, so I can't say what kind of range is normal for proper sharpness setting.
