I am using the IR repeater out with a 15 ft. 3.5mm (mono) cable to connect a Pioneer Kuro Elite 111-FD to the IR input of a Lexicon MC-1 HT pre/pro unit. The Lexicon is hidden in a dedicated cabinet with two B&K amplifiers and functions perfectly via the "hard-wired" IR connection. The lower right IR input "aim-point" of the 111-FD/151-FD sends any IR commands to the HDMI-connected Pioneer BDP-320 (KuroLink) Blu-ray player, the HDMI-connected Pioneer DVP-420 (KuroLink) DVD player, the Control SR output (3.5mm mono) connected Pioneer Elite CLD-79 LaserDisc player and the 3.5mm (mono) hard-wired IR connected Lexicon MC-1 pre/pro. The attached units must be controlled by aiming the controlling remote at the Pioneer 111-FD IR input.

Everything works perfectly.

The only audio/video output devices not connected to the 111-FD is a DirecTivo DVR and an older Mitsubishi HS-U82 SVHS VCR. Still waiting on FIOS, which is all around us in Northern Virginia...
