Hi

I have just got a JVC DLA G10 (liberated from a skip at work), but there appears to be a problem with the image and I'm not sure whether it is a serious hardware fault or something that can be sorted by calibration. Unfortunately I'm a novice to such things so would appreciate some help getting started.

The problem I have is a vertical pattern of red (pink) lines across the image. These are repeating columns of two pink pixels followed by three correctly coloured pixels. However, it doesn't affect all shades, so depending on the image being displayed, part of the image can be displayed correctly and other areas are troubled by the lines.

I get the same problem using the Computer 1 and 2 inputs and they show the same problem - I have not tried the AV IN option yet.

I have downloaded the Psactrl software (after much searching), but I don't want to start randomly changing some of the settings I don't have a clue about!

If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts then I would be very grateful to hear.

Kind regards

Bill

PS. I have some photos of the problem, so will try to post these if that's possible.

PPS. If this is not the correct forum then let me know!

Just noticed that it is not always a red/pink line. It seems to be a darker shade of the background colour. It is almost as though the dark lines should be properly merged with the background to give the correct colour, but instead it is badly-rendered as a partially-striped image.
