I have the Penn at Dartmouth game on VS now (noon ET). It's also a stretched 4:3 feed which is odd since they usually put bars on the side of 4:3 broadcasts. (watching on CV)

Yeah, really odd. Never seen Versus stretch their programming.

Not impressed with the image quality in the William & Mary at Villanova game. Same Versus smearing as always plus some blocking with any motion.

As a 'Nova alum I was thrilled to be able to DVR a game of ours in HD on nat'l TV:D Even more thrilled with the result of the game!

There was a lot of blocking during motion, I agree there. This was originally a TCN(The Comcast Network) production, and they had the same production truck as last week's game, which was on TCN. So their truck(or at least one of them) is HD capable. CAA games on TCN have at least been 16:9 SD. Those announcers regularly do CAA games on TCN, so the logistics were exactly the same, I guess master control(wherever that is) just had to route the feed to Versus instead of TCN which is easy since it's also a Comcast owned channel.

It's also funny because that truck was used back when the channel was called CN8, and there were still www.cn8.tv decals on the side of it, haha. They did replace the main logo on the side, but left a couple smaller CN8 stickers on it. The econoline 16 passenger van with more equipment just had the "8" peeled off and looked even worse.
