Does anyone have any experience with this little guy?

Seems to have pretty much the same specs as a DV-420, save for a few less formats being played back. $20 less and smaller. I zoomed the image of the back and I think its made in the Thailand factory. I wonder if the IQ is the same as the 410/420?

If you're not into DVD-AUDIO and SACD, I'd just go ahead with the 420. Truthfully I don't see any selling point for this player. The only thing I'm curious about is what firmware it uses.

1. Turn on the player.

2. Press "HOME MENU."

3. Highlight "Initial Settings."

4. Press "ENTER."

5. Highlight "Options." Do not press "ENTER."

6. Press "DISPLAY." You should see something like:

"Region: 1

ROM Version: YKB9326C"

The above example is how it would look on the DV-420V. I'm just curious about what the 220 uses.

about to buy this. any good recommendations? its region-free.. hows the build quality?
