Free preview viewer, real interesting channel, I like the back and forth between games especially since in Savannah the Jaguars are blacked out again

I verified that the free preview is for SD and HD, and boxes that aren't authorized for the HD package are still getting this channel.

Thats what is meant to happen. My real world feedback is I get "You are not Subscribed" when I turn to Fios 835. I have the Extreme HD package. I even pulled the power to reboot the box. So my feedback is FAIL for today.

Free preview until 3:15 pm CST today on U-verse. Within the first 30 minutes of watching, I'm not sure how long I can handle this A.D.D. approach to watching football...

Love the idea of the channel (getting it on E* preview), but it is too overcompressed for me to ever pay for it. Comparing my 2 local OTA games to RedZone there is no comparison. In fact, I haven't seen one game that is what I would call good PQ.

First let me say that this is my first time viewing this channel via a free preview on ATT Uverse in Jax, FL and I'm loving it. I'm watching in HD and I must agree with Primetime that the channel is over-compressed.

Cut out here in North Texas on FiOS about 30 seconds after 3:00 CT. Great concept, but not $50 great.

Does the red zone channel usually show the late games or only the morning/early ones?

RedZone looks great here. Didn't even know I had the channel till last week. Gotta admit, I LUUUUVVV me some RedZone. lol
Seriously it's great. After watching my squad do work against the Chiefs now I get to sit back and get a taste of all the remaining games.


HOWEVER!!! Get rid of that graphic in the lower right of the screen or at least shadow it.

My first time I watched this channel due to the free preview with Fios. I must say this concept is not for me, I just could not get use to the constant switching of games and much prefer watching the flow of a whole game which to me is more involving. I did find it interesting though with the variations of PQ from game to game where some looked real good while others looked just average while considering that it was coming from the same two networks.

Glad Comcast only charges $5 for the channel.. Not glad they don't have it in HD here. Once that happens, I will bite.

The concept of the channel is great especially when the teams on the local CBS and FOX are of no interest to me. It’s also great for watching players on your fantasy team.

I would prefer the channel without a commentator though.

I really enjoyed the free preview yesterday. Especially considering that the variety among my locals yesterday wasn't great.

I really enjoyed the free preview of this channel yesterday, especially since we had two blowout games (OAK-HOU and SEA-IND) on locally. My only gripe is that Comcast doesn't have it as an HD channel yet. Otherwise, I would buy it.

PQ issues on this channel were gone yesterday. I figured that's why you were watching it from a VZ point of view. :D

I'm hoping this wasn't only b/c of the free preview - and that it stays good next week and going forward.

I signed up for RZC last week. Think it was great idea on the NFL Network's part to offer it for free to give people the chance to try it out. If you are fan of football, you just have to love non-stop, commercial free action. The only problem is leaving the room to go to the bathroom or get another beer - definitely can help keep you sober :D.

One thing seemed different to me this week. Last week, as the games started to wind down, they really focused on the close games, showing more than just "red zone" action live. They would show highlights from blow outs, but kept with the close games. They seemed to deviate from this yesterday. Perhaps because of the "free promotion" they did not want to allienate anyone watching for their team, but for me, it was a step down in editorial approach. I hope they return to focusing on close games late in future weeks.

Sunday Ticket Red Zone is run by DirecTV themselves. NFL Network produces the RED Zone channel for Cable, Fiber and Dish. They both do about the same thing just run by different groups.

Why would DirecTV offer it? It severely devalues their Sunday Ticket product if they do that.

Because Comcast gives it for free.
