Please include your location and provider (Cable, Sat, IPTV, FiOS). homcom 10-04-09, 12:20 PM Quite excited about this channel this week, first week that I can get it in HD. Marcus Carr 10-04-09, 12:52 PM Countdown clock. Ready for the free preview on Comcast. lordmoose 10-04-09, 01:08 PM Hi guys, I work in FIOS for vz... let me know ASAP if there is any quality problems with the HD. All of our hub offices are reporting no problems at this moment. suki84 10-04-09, 01:11 PM Free preview viewer, real interesting channel, I like the back and forth between games especially since in Savannah the Jaguars are blacked out again homcom 10-04-09, 01:13 PM Watching this on breaks in the Lions game, liking what I'm seeing so far in HD. rustycruiser 10-04-09, 01:19 PM Hi guys, I work in FIOS for vz... let me know ASAP if there is any quality problems with the HD. All of our hub offices are reporting no problems at this moment. Coming up not authorized on the Fios HD channel. So much for the free preview. Available in SD only. tmdorsey 10-04-09, 01:22 PM What channel is the free preview on for Directv? lordmoose 10-04-09, 01:24 PM I verified that the free preview is for SD and HD, and boxes that aren't authorized for the HD package are still getting this channel. homcom 10-04-09, 01:27 PM What channel is the free preview on for Directv? DirecTV does not carry this channel. They have a different Red Zone channel for Sunday Ticket subscribers only. rustycruiser 10-04-09, 01:28 PM I verified that the free preview is for SD and HD, and boxes that aren't authorized for the HD package are still getting this channel. Thats what is meant to happen. My real world feedback is I get "You are not Subscribed" when I turn to Fios 835. I have the Extreme HD package. I even pulled the power to reboot the box. So my feedback is FAIL for today. :( hdtvjunkie247 10-04-09, 01:29 PM Both SD & HD coming in fine via Comcast NJ. tmdorsey 10-04-09, 01:32 PM DirecTV does not carry this channel. They have a different Red Zone channel for Sunday Ticket subscribers only. Damnit. Thx Ken H 10-04-09, 01:33 PM Looks great on Comcast Detroit. ridgefamus 10-04-09, 01:35 PM Coming in great in HD on FiOS via the free preview. This concept will certainly extend the battery life of my remote. bpeacock22 10-04-09, 02:16 PM Free preview until 3:15 pm CST today on U-verse. Within the first 30 minutes of watching, I'm not sure how long I can handle this A.D.D. approach to watching football... primetimeguy 10-04-09, 03:16 PM Love the idea of the channel (getting it on E* preview), but it is too overcompressed for me to ever pay for it. Comparing my 2 local OTA games to RedZone there is no comparison. In fact, I haven't seen one game that is what I would call good PQ. ahard 10-04-09, 04:03 PM First let me say that this is my first time viewing this channel via a free preview on ATT Uverse in Jax, FL and I'm loving it. I'm watching in HD and I must agree with Primetime that the channel is over-compressed. Marcus Carr 10-04-09, 04:06 PM The preview just ended early here. homcom 10-04-09, 04:09 PM Watching on Comcast in Detroit, I agree PQ is good, but it is not what we are getting from OTA FOX and CBS. Bschneider 10-04-09, 04:27 PM The preview just ended early here. Yep.. Same here.. 10 min early.. suki84 10-04-09, 04:39 PM Preview still on in Savannah 30 min after it was supposed to end coyoteaz 10-04-09, 04:40 PM Cut out here in North Texas on FiOS about 30 seconds after 3:00 CT. Great concept, but not $50 great. GqMagic 10-04-09, 05:12 PM Does the red zone channel usually show the late games or only the morning/early ones? I was looking forward to the Jets/Saints game totalownership 10-04-09, 06:14 PM Comcast Essex County NJ. RedZone looks great here. Didn't even know I had the channel till last week. Gotta admit, I LUUUUVVV me some RedZone. lol Seriously it's great. After watching my squad do work against the Chiefs now I get to sit back and get a taste of all the remaining games. HOWEVER!!! Get rid of that graphic in the lower right of the screen or at least shadow it. Ken H 10-04-09, 06:28 PM Love the idea of the channel (getting it on E* preview), but it is too overcompressed for me to ever pay for it. Comparing my 2 local OTA games to RedZone there is no comparison. In fact, I haven't seen one game that is what I would call good PQ. Blame E*. Lodef 10-04-09, 07:48 PM My first time I watched this channel due to the free preview with Fios. I must say this concept is not for me, I just could not get use to the constant switching of games and much prefer watching the flow of a whole game which to me is more involving. I did find it interesting though with the variations of PQ from game to game where some looked real good while others looked just average while considering that it was coming from the same two networks. Patsfan123 10-04-09, 07:52 PM Glad Comcast only charges $5 for the channel.. Not glad they don't have it in HD here. Once that happens, I will bite. McDonoughDawg 10-04-09, 08:25 PM Saw some of the free preview....wow, talk about tv for folks with ADD.... Panth1 10-04-09, 09:14 PM The concept of the channel is great especially when the teams on the local CBS and FOX are of no interest to me. It’s also great for watching players on your fantasy team. I would prefer the channel without a commentator though. MRM4 10-05-09, 11:59 AM DirecTV does not carry this channel. They have a different Red Zone channel for Sunday Ticket subscribers only. They need to get with it. Comcast offers it for free. hdtvjunkie247 10-05-09, 12:51 PM I really enjoyed the free preview yesterday. Especially considering that the variety among my locals yesterday wasn't great. cheesesteaks3 10-05-09, 01:00 PM I really enjoyed the free preview of this channel yesterday, especially since we had two blowout games (OAK-HOU and SEA-IND) on locally. My only gripe is that Comcast doesn't have it as an HD channel yet. Otherwise, I would buy it. owine 10-05-09, 01:10 PM They need to get with it. Comcast offers it for free. Why would DirecTV offer it? It severely devalues their Sunday Ticket product if they do that. jeepmatt 10-05-09, 02:43 PM I verified that the free preview is for SD and HD, and boxes that aren't authorized for the HD package are still getting this channel. Lordmoose- PQ issues on this channel were gone yesterday. I figured that's why you were watching it from a VZ point of view. :D I'm hoping this wasn't only b/c of the free preview - and that it stays good next week and going forward. ralphjb 10-05-09, 04:33 PM I signed up for RZC last week. Think it was great idea on the NFL Network's part to offer it for free to give people the chance to try it out. If you are fan of football, you just have to love non-stop, commercial free action. The only problem is leaving the room to go to the bathroom or get another beer - definitely can help keep you sober :D. One thing seemed different to me this week. Last week, as the games started to wind down, they really focused on the close games, showing more than just "red zone" action live. They would show highlights from blow outs, but kept with the close games. They seemed to deviate from this yesterday. Perhaps because of the "free promotion" they did not want to allienate anyone watching for their team, but for me, it was a step down in editorial approach. I hope they return to focusing on close games late in future weeks. tall1 10-05-09, 11:37 PM DirecTV does not carry this channel. They have a different Red Zone channel for Sunday Ticket subscribers only.I have Sunday Ticket, how is this version of Red Zone different? homcom 10-05-09, 11:55 PM I have Sunday Ticket, how is this version of Red Zone different? Sunday Ticket Red Zone is run by DirecTV themselves. NFL Network produces the RED Zone channel for Cable, Fiber and Dish. They both do about the same thing just run by different groups. MRM4 10-06-09, 04:23 PM Why would DirecTV offer it? It severely devalues their Sunday Ticket product if they do that. Because Comcast gives it for free. StuJac 10-06-09, 04:35 PM Loved it. Comcast Willow Grove (Pa). Picture was fantastic and the action incredible. The best remedy for a bye week. |
