How important should refresh rates be in choosing a home theater front projector or does that not apply? Don't see that info mentioned on projector spec sheeets. I know that matters on flat panel TV's in regards to image stutter during fast action scenes.
Thanks, John
Actually, on a projector, most of them handle 24hz refresh correctly. Flat panels on the other hand are very hit or miss. Mostly miss. Most all 120hz tvs still do 3:2 pulldown anyhow, so the 120hz is not much more than marketing for folks who don't know what they're really getting. Only quite recently have the 120hz sets begun to do true 5:5 cadence. Many, if not most, still do not.

Take a look at my thread on handling 24P content. Also, dont get confused between refresh rate (hz) and content rate (frames).
