Which BD would you guys recommend for calibration? This will be my first calibration disc, but I'm looking to get the best or most complete product.
Do they both offer full color adjustments? What are the differences between the two?
I'll be using it for my Samsung B650 plasma that now has over 400 hrs. I've tried various settings posted by others post calibration, but I'm looking to get the proper settings for my specific set.
Thanks.

Neither title offers complete color patterns for detailed calibration with instruments. Both do offer ample test signals for standard user level picture adjustments. Each title has valuable and unique content for understanding image and sound quality better and evaluating equipment performance. I advise that you start with at least the Spears & Munsil program (it's more simple and brief), then also acquire 'DVE: HD Basics' as well (it's more elaborate and detailed). The only optical disc title I'm aware of with complete color test materials for instrument calibration is the AVS HD709 download (doesn't work on all BD players).

^I wouldn't be using any instruments (don't have any). So, if I want more detailed calibration I should go with the DVE HD Basics?

I recommend owning both. If you are starting with only one program, get the S&M disc. Get the other at a later time.
