View Full Version : This may sound strange? But bonofish 10-06-09, 10:00 PM When I turn on my projector on, my pet halls ass, Asap Am i doing something wrong? BIGmouthinDC 10-06-09, 11:35 PM Perhaps the projector is emitting a high pitch sound that you can't hear but the pet can. One way to test this theory is to borrow another projector (different brand) and fire it up. tlogan6797 10-07-09, 09:28 AM I've noticed a couple of things with my dog trying to watch my projector outside (Big Screen) and inside with my 65" TV (but the MUCH better sound). RARELY do barking dogs on screen bother him. (the only one I can think of was the scene in the Dark Knight) But for old times sake when I ran "Hatari!" outside, the close-up of John Wayne's face on the menu screen seemed to drive him nuts. And the rhino chase. Marley and Me didn't even bother him. Anytime a door bell rings inside with the good sound he looks at and/or heads straight for the door. And (I've already told this one in my thread) about halfway through Dancing With the Stars one night, all of sudden he just got up, went straight to the sub and stuck his nose right up to it. And everytime the bass hit, he jerked his back right in time with the music. He did that for about 60 seconds. Like Big says, if it's a DLP, he could hear the color wheel or the fan spinning up or something like that. Is it as soon as you fire it up or when the picture comes on? The large picture COULD be quite intimidating and he could have learned that as soon at the projector gets turns on, he KNOWS that big scary picture or the loud soundtrack is comming, so he takes off. Remember, even when you think you're not, you're teaching your dog SOMETHING. bonofish 10-08-09, 10:11 PM Yep, my projector is a dlp, Mits 3000u. I don't hardly ever use it. And it does have a color wheel whine sound that i can't hardly hear. When i first got it, guess what, yes my cat hard to lay on top of the box, of my new toy, took it out and she had to check it out. I shoed her away as i have done many times before! But after that first day, every time i turn it on she halls ass, lol No big deal, just seems strange to me Thanks for the replys |
