I'm not very well informed in this area of AV so I need your help. I'd like to get a universal remote for my living room. I believe all of the devices would use infrared (does nintendo Wii use infrared?), and they are all exposed (line of sight is no problem). I need it to control 5 devices and have a learning capability because I highly doubt I'll find a code for the speakers I have hooked up to the TV (Eagle Arion ET-AR504LR-BK 2.1). They already havea remote that uses IR, it just sucks.

- Wii is Bluetooth, so you won't be able to control it with remote at all. The PS3 requires a Bluetooth to IR adapter if you want full functionality. The Xbox360 works with an IR remote.

As for remotes, almost every decent universal remote can learn IR commands. There are several good remotes to look at that are very affordable. The Logitech Harmony remotes are very good remotes with online programming and an online database of virtually every device. URC remotes are also great remotes. My suggestion would be to visit www.remotecentral.com and look at a few reviews to get better acquainted with what's out there.
