Ive seen a couple people on here use a small CRT mount to do so but they had to make alterations to it... heres some pictures of my TV and the wall...
The front of the TV is 18" from the wall for reference.

I used a peerless mount for mine. Hardly visible with the center on it.

Thanks William that looks pretty good!
Do you happen to know off hand how far it comes out from the wall?

It's adjustable up to 19.5". The other nice feature is that even if you have to mount it off-center to match stud placement, the legs slid back and forth to center the speaker.

Yea that just might work... i want the front of the speaker to be right above the TV (not behind it at all) so i think that extension will do the trick.
Any other suggestions? How much would it be to just build a shelf with stuff from HD or Lowes? 20 bucks?

Suspend it from the ceiling.

^^You know what I was thinking it would be awesome to suspend 3 platforms (2 for fronts and 1 for Center) from the ceiling with wrapped metal cables (maybe 1/4" thick) with the fronts being at 24" above the ground and Center being right above the TV.
Seems to me that it would be a pretty sweet way of doing it.. only thing is i live in an apartment and i dont think itd be a good idea to go and put 12 or so big drill holes in the ceiling :D
But now that i think of it more I may explore the idea.

There are a lot of things you wouldn't think of that can work. Just for example:

You know what im going to try that keyboard stand idea... my only concern is the feet coming under the TV and being visible but i wont know how good/odd that will look til i try.
Ill find out by tonight if its practical for my situation and ill be able to test it with the real speaker on tuesday most likely... Thanks for the idea :D

You can also build or buy something that would fit around the TV and work like a shelf above it; a tall cubby, so to speak. Likewise, you could build or buy a shorter cubby, a little more than the height of the speaker, to place the TV atop, and put the speaker underneath the cubby's shelf on top of what the TV is sitting on, now.
