Just got a DCX3400 through TimeWarner, Newbury Park, CA. Asked for it because our previous unit was from time to time showing 100% disk full in error and so blocked recording, buffered up remote commands then executed them all and sometimes recorded all programs not just new ones in a series.
This new DCX3400 was OK for a couple of days but now it goes minutes ignoring the remote.
It also shows scheduled recordings were recorded OK but some of them stop after a second or two of playback and lock up to a black screen. Can't skip (no command) or fast forward through it...
Also can't find a way to display diagnostics (other than Video and CC) to show me firmware level, disk size etc.
TW told me to use my old remote - black with UEI on the back and the ABCD buttons above the VOL/FAV/CH buttons.
Any ideas?
