Is it acceptable to place electrostatic speakers behind AT screen?

I'm no expert at it, but I wouldn't think that there would be a problem as long as you had several inches between the two.

I'm surprised that a company like magnepan has not yet introduced a set of speakers that doubled as the AT screen.

Ruben (AKA Sandman) used to have electrostatic speakers behind his screen. He did significant audio testing concurrent with developing his screen product (SMX), and he took them out for output reasons, not audiophile reasons:

No, they didn't deliver the punch that I wanted in the theater. We watch allot of action movies and the Logans didn't give me the output I was looking for. I'm using the Klipsch Ultra2's.
