I have an offer on a new RS 20 which is priced 27% higher than the offered price on a new RS 15.
Which is the better value?

sorry If I am dense, are you saying that someone is willing to sell you a new RS20 which is 27% higher than a RS15
if so that a good question. I always like getting the newest version of a projector but I think the RS20 would still be the superior projector. I would assume it hard to find a brand RS20 as JVC isnt making anymore and although scarcity usually brings up the price, the fact that its a older model should mean that the dealer would want to discount it as to get it out of their inventory. I guess what I am trying to say is I am surprised that the 20 would be more expensive

Well, it simply is the much better projector for people with preference on film. People in favour of the JVCs love movies (rather than TV/sports) and they don't care that much about FI (certainly not for 24p material anyways) but they care for correct (!) colors which neither the RS10 nor the RS15 has.

I don't know, some have said the newer models are sharper and look like they have better ANSI CR.
I'd go for the RS15 and a used Lumagen to tame the greens.
But I thought a few people also said they could get an RS20 and 15 for the same price.
