Hello guys, I tried measuring my room with REW a while ago using a dell 1720, I've always known its SigmaTel card(thing) is as low quality as it gets but I didn't expect it to perform so bad at recording, my waterfalls are still at +30db after 1000ms.
Of course I triple checked my settings, input, output, etc., I didn't get the 'feedback loop' pattern mentioned on REW's 'Caibrating the soundcard' help section. At the end I was able to get decent waterfall readings using another laptop with a realtek chip.
Just venting and wondering if this is a common problem, and if someone has found a workaround.
