Good morning. I was hoping for some assistance with an issue I'm having. I've had my Sharp xv-z10000 for about a year, and 3 months ago my original bulb went pop. I then went and bought a generic replacement for it, and got about 20 hours on it before it died. The box is green and the brand says "Projector Lamp" After having no luck getting it replaced (some guys basement in Canada) I went to a more reputable dealer, and bought 2 oem replacement, so I'd have a backup. When I received the replacement lamps, I discovered the same green boxes "projector lamp" brand. Oh, well, I'll give it a shot. The first lamp lasted about 120 hours, and I'm now on my spare. Thankfully I'm still under the warranty period, so they are going to replace it, but my question is this. Should I just bite the bullet and buy a sharp branded lamp, or do I have some other issue going on?
