Couple questions, I have the following devices on my network:
HTPC with SD(Cable) and HDTV(OTA) recording capabilities running Windows Media Center XP wired to network.
Old Tivo (Bedroom) with Wireless Network Adapter
Plenty of storage on the HTPC and another wired network PC.
I have an WiFi Bridge (Modded WRT54G) in my family room that connects via Wi-Fi back to my main router.
I am interested in getting a WDTV Live HD for my family room. Here are the questions that I have:
1. Can I play SD and HD content recorded by the media center? I think HD might be a stretch considering it would be going over the wireless network.
2. Can I play content off of the tivo?
3. I have a ton of .iso DVDs on the HTPC, how would these play over the wireless network.
Typically the network is excellent, it would be wired, but without going outside of the house or doing major drywall work, this isn't possible. This would obviously be a whole new stress on the network, right now it is just used for a Sonos/Pandora music player in the family room.
Thanks for the advice guys!
