Anybody have a code that they can give me, I am an AK nut and have 10 or so mostly still in kit form from diffrent countrys :) I have been so busy lately and didn't realize the game was allready out.

How do these codes work anyway, is there just one code # that can be used over and over again?

I am pretty certain you are provided a unique code when you pick up your pre-ordered copy of Uncharted 2 from Best Buy. You would not be able to use someone else's code if they already redeemed it, which I don't see why they wouldn't.

Simply put, I think you're out of luck. Try emailing Naughty Dog and begging them for a code.

This board also isn't the place to whore yourself out. Should have just put this in the Uncharted thread, or not even asked and just waited until an offering came up.

Before this thread gets locked I'll recommend you check eBay. It's doubtful anyone's gonna have a code to spare since you only get one with a preorder and even if they did they're probably not likely to just give it away. Preorder bonuses like these usually go for between $10 and $25 on eBay after the game comes out and then quickly become scarce. If it's worth it to you you can probably still buy one on eBay.

As for how they work it's just a 12 digit code you redeem in the Playstation Store. Once you enter it it takes you to the download screen for the golden guns.

The codes are available on ebay for $5.

I have one I'm probably going to wipe my butt with. Should I decide to get rid of it I'll start a thread for it....I'm probably going to BB tonight to FINALLY pick up my preorder copy.

I dont really see the appeal in gold colored weapons. They did that in gears2, and they looked cheesy and kinda took you out of the experience.

For someone who is actually into guns, I would think you would want the more realistic looking version of the weapon, not the one that looks like video game bling.

The treasure map more than likely will not be as it kind of ruins the whole of looking for the treasure.

I feel like the golden guns may be an unlockable thing when you hit a certain level in multiplayer or something though. Kind of like in CoD4.

There will probably be a lot of these on eBay for awhile. You could walk into BB and pick up the U2 and R&C preorder codes for $0. I know a lot of people on CAG took advantage of this. I picked up two of each. :)

They were in shrinkwraped cardboard boxes out on the shelves. It's supposed to count as a $5 preorder but when you got U2 + another game it took $10 off so you basically walked out with two for free. I don't think it works anymore since the game was released.

I will only be using digital treasure map as a last resort. Those YouTube walkthroughs helped me on a couple I absolutely couldn't find in U1. I don't know how useful the Amazon pre-order bonus map will be, but I like the idea that I can pull it up without getting up out of my Lazy-boy and pulling it up on my computer. Apparently the Amazon map will also provide a video walkthrough to the locations. Of course the main reason I bought from Amazon was the price: $54 (as a Gold Box Quick picks item) +$5 credit toward future game. The treasure map was just gravy.

ffrcobra, try calling Best Buy to see if they have extra codes, you never know.

Cool, I thought it might be generic code. oh well. I must say it looks like a nice milled russian AK.
