Hi,
Timer tells me that I've been using this projector for 198 hrs by now. Purchased it en if July this year.
Last Friday, while watching a bluray movie, we noticed with my wife that brightness was going up and down... Even on an instant that there was almost no change in average brightness on the screen.
I got same results with HDTV (Cable). I connected my bluray player directly to the projector; same result.
So I called Panasonic yesterday. Rep told me that a lot of people having the same problem, and way to fix it is to keep the Iris off.
That sounds totally unacceptable to me... First of all, we didn't noticed this change in brightness before (194 hrs of watching bluray and HDTV) while I've always kept Iris on. Secondly, why implement a function in a product and then tell users not to use it...
Also, black levels will get affected from this...
Does this make any sense to any of you?? Any recommendations from more experienced users than I am?
Thanks in advance,
Akin
