LG 50PG30 plasma TV and a Dish Network 211K and 222K HD receivers. When I connect either reciever via HDMI, the volume level on HD channels is about 1/2 the loudness it should be. It is correct on SD channels. I've tried changing HDMI cables and HDMI ports. The volume is correct using composite cables with either reciever on both HD and SD channels. The volume using a HDMI cable works correctly with my DirecTV H20 HD reciever or with the HDMI connection with my LG VHS/DVD upconverting recorder combo. The Dish recievers work correctly on either my 32" or 26" Toshiba LCD HD TV's. The volume problem is isolated to the Dish receivers on the LG TV with HDMI connection on HD channels.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Dish says it's a TV issue because the recievers work on other TV's. LG says it's a Dish receiver because the TV works with other input devices.

You can try going into the Dolby Digital menu for the receiver and change some of the settings there, specifically line vs. rf mode. That worked for me on one tv. You might also go into the tv menu and look at the HDMI audio settings.

Gatorman, thanks for the tips. Unfortunantly in the TV audio menu/setting all there are is:
Auto Volume ON/OFF (auto adjust commercials volume)
Clear Voice ON/OFF
Sound Mode Standard (User)
Music
Cinema
Sport (User)
Game
TV Speaker ON/OFF
I've tried turning ON/OFF all setting as well as all the different modes. Nothing helped.

The Dish 211K reciever does have the Dolby Digital Output in the menu with Line and RF modes as well as Dolby Digital only, PCM only and a combo of the two modes, but according to the help in the menu, those setting only effect the DD output (optical cable port) and since I'm not using that output.... but I have tried every combo in that menu field, to no avail.

Any other suggestions?

The DD settings may/should also affect the audio output via HDMI. Your tv may also have a setup menu, as well as audio/video etc., and you may be able to make adjustments there.
