I'm burning a bunch of DVDs for a friend and using Tyvec sleeves for maximum storage protection. I would like to use some kind of "file box" for them, but really don't need anything beyond a cardboard box that is the same width as the sleeves. My friend is on a fixed income, so we really need something cheap and simple.
I know some craft stores like Michael's have cardboard fileboxes for VCR tapes or DVDs with full-size cases, but not sure if there is a source of CD/DVD sized boxes.
Thanks,
Mike

It seems to me that a shoebox would be around the right size for DVDs and it would probably hold 150 DVDs in sleeves. Most any shoe store might give away some shoeboxes just for the asking.

Thanks for the reply, but these are Tyvec sleeves, the same width as CDs. A shoebox is much too large.
Edit, I realized that Kleenex boxes are almost the right size---but too narrow by 1/3" or so. Darn, that would have been a good solution.

Dude,
Nothing hard about this, and no need to do grody looking kleenex boxes. Google "dvd storage boxes" for many options. I personally use some nice Snap-N-Store cd/dvd storage boxes from the electronics department at Wal-Mart, and I've bought some nice inexpensive metal-edge boxes from library and archival-storage vendors like Gaylord.

Thanks,
MikeI use these snap-n-store boxes (http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/679392/Snap-N-Store-CD-Storage-Box/). Each one holds about 150 DVD's in Tyvek sleeves. $6 each is hard to beat. They have them at the stores for pickup.

Noticed that OD also has a "DVD storage box" ...which got a lower rating! Can't see much of a difference, except cost is higher and it looks as though they are accommodating the longer 'case' of a standard commercial DVD. But if these are burn your own DVDs, the CD case should do the trick, don't you think?

they have 'double wide' cd boxes, too, that hold 2x more
