Hi,

So, we recently got a PN42B450, and have a PS3 (for BD) and Explorer HD Terminal from Videotron (Remote: UR5U-8400A). Thing is, we would like one remote to control to at least control the HD Terminal and the TV. Three remotes is really a pain. We managed to find the code for the Sammy, but the remote was only able to turn it off and on, but changing sources didn't work, forcing me to reach for the Sammy remote.

In addition, we also have a Sony remote for the PS3 (Bluetooth). Now I know getting one remote for all three is difficult, but what about one remote for Sammy and HD Terminal?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,
DW.

Are you in Canada? I ask because I never heard of Videotron before but it looks like it is the same as the Scientific Atlanta HD Cable boxes. If that is true, I recommend check out the SMK Blu-Link (http://shop.remoteshoppe.com/product.sc?productId=171&categoryId=14) as an inexpensive solution. It has the codes for the Samsung TV and the Scientific Atlanta box and it will control the PS3 by Bluetooth. It can also learn up to 50 functions so if you have a problem with the input selection on your TV you can just teach it those codes from the original Samsung remote.

Thanks!

Yup, in Canada. Funny thing is, the Scientific Atlantic remote works, except for being able to exit the source selection screen of Sammy. Annoying. :)
