Hi guys,
It's been over 14+ yrs since my HT system was completed, coming off from the CRT world (Runco + Faroudja quad), it was a bit of trepidation coming out from my comfort zone.
Having sampled HD broadcasts in Japan years ago, and fascinated throughout the years watched the various incarnations of plasmas , LCDs, LEDs, lasers and now 3D displays ? Yikes! :confused:
First off, AVS is a bad place to hangout...:p
Joined the community since 2002, but was lurking way before .
Fast forward to 2009...
It started out innocently noticing that one of my neighbors (calbear) was having a HT meet GTG on the agenda , went and saw what's going on, and was hooked.

then the next HT meet at Fugueness makes things worse, meeting the likes of Keith Yates and Mark Seaton was an eye opener.. so much out there, so little time, so much to absorb.

Will it be the Sims2 lumis, Joe Kane's Samsung A900 DLP, JVC RS1/15/25/35 or other PJ's? All have strong pedigrees, and after multiple dialogs with Jason Turk, Mark Halflich, and Jim (JlgLaw), along with missing out on the groupbuy on the JVC's intro pricing, the Joe Kane's $3k increase, the homie hookup with Fugueness's RS1 , and with the sweet allures of the SIMs Lumis.. cost vs value, getting bang for the buck now and waiting on 3D upgrade, contribute to a lost soul....:D
Finally decided to jump on the RS35 bandwagon even though no formal reviews have been done, will it be a terrible mistake?

Coming from the CRT camp, it was so difference .
but yet, the PQ was awesome. i would say, it blows the CRT out of the waters...
i read jason's quick RS35 review (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1188267), and it's spot on.
For those on the fence, do it.....;)
