I have a Sony N460 blu ray player that does not have an eject button on the factory remote. Does anyone know how to program the eject button on Sony universal remote RM-VL610? Or at least point me in the right direction? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!
I had a similar situation with a Panasonic DVD recorder that didn't have an eject button on the original remote so I assumed there wasn't an IR command for this function. I realized my assumption was wrong when I found that the eject button on an old Panasonic DVD player worked with the DVD recorder...my URC MX-500 easily learned the command.
Good idea, but unfortunately it won't work in this case. While panny recorders have used the same codes across models for years, sony blu-ray players use new codes which aren't on older remotes. I guess they did it so they wouldn't conflict with their DVD players.
Cortiz,
Check out my answer in the N460 thread.

From the Sony eSupport site:
At the time of this writing, Sony does not manufacture any remote controls that have a dedicated function for controlling Blu-ray DiscŪ (BD) players. However, universal remote controls with a learning function have the capability of learning the infrared frequencies of the BD player remote control.
