Here is an image of the Breakfast at Tiffany's version. I really liked the approach taking a movie poster print and making it look like a painting. It is like a somewhat gritty spraypaint. I also, like how the frame looks like a marquee without the lights. I have seen this approach at blockbuster but without the same frame. I passed on the star wars one but now wished I bought it to reframe it.

Does anyone know what this would be called? Or any idea where I might find the exact frame for Star Wars or at least a picture done in this manner?

Check here for moulding ideas

Plenty of framers carry decor so finding one in your area shouldn't be difficult. Otherwise, I'd go any good framer and check their selection.

Yep I have the StarWars one in my home theater. Blockbuster sells these full size artowork posters from $5-$30, but thanks to BrotherAaron now I know their source :)

EDIT: Also you may get lucky and find more of these posters at your nearby Ross store. But Blockbuster is definitely a better source

Anyone know where else on the net these can be purchased? I'd like to get the Fight Club 13x36 poster....but I can't seem to find it at blockbuster in that ed/size. I see that it's available at art.com and allposters framed or mounted on wood (which would be perfect, but more expensive than the suggested bb retail price of $40). Any suggestions, I'm all ears?

My local blockbuster places an order once a month, or whenever they run low on them. They take special orders quite frequently. They do not automatically show up according to the manager. Sounds like your local blockbuster didn't want to mess with a special order.

I don't know if they would be willing to ship from my local store. Here is a phone number if you'd like to check with them. Also, they might have a bit more ammunition if you'd really like to put your local blockbuster on the spot :D

Blockbuster Hutchinson Kansas 620 662-8025Thank you, I'll do whatever it takes :D. I'll pester them again and ask them why they won't special order and just keep on pushing until I get a good answer. I've already got 2 and I want 4 more so they obviously need to match so if worse comes to worse I'll call the Kansas store and see if they will ship to my store or me.

I found a link for blockbuster online where you can order these direct. I didn't see the starwars posters, so you might have to get with your local Blockbuster for them

Great find. FPE-online doesn't show some of the posters from framedpictureenterprises.com but under FAQs they say that special requests are available. I have GOT to get the Wall-E poster.

I just ordered the Star Wars poster from Target online. I bought the framed version for $39.99 but they also have an unframed version for $19.99. Looks like the exact same poster & has the same finish. Hope this helps!

I e-mailed FPE about the Wall-E poster two weeks ago and haven't heard a thing back from them. I'm going to shoot them another e-mail and see what they say. As far as Target online goes they do have framed posters using the same pictures in a black frame that state "Canvas-Like Visual Texture with Luminescent Sheen." This would lead me to believe they are the same style or possibly from FPE.

The style of that poster is commonly know as pop art. There are a few star wars posters out there that are illustrated but I think you may have a hard time finding one in that exact style.

Good Luck

I received my Star Wars poster from Target today - the surface seems to be identical to the 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' one in the original thread! It looks superb - I'm really pleased with it!!

Easier said than done! Target seem to be using pop up descriptions so I can't get a link for you unfortunately ... but if you go to www.target.com then search for 'Star Wars', select 'Home' from the menu on the left hand corner, and then select 'Home Decor' ... you will find a framed version for $39.99 and an unframed version for $19.99. I ordered the framed version ... the frame isn't anything special and there is no glass but the poster itself is superb (cool crackly kind of painted texture with a nice sheen to it). There is free shipping on the poster at the moment if you spend $50 on eligible items. Hope this helps!
