I've currently got a Logitech 550 in which honestly, I'm not that fond of. I've had it about 10 months and was hoping it would grow on me more but it hasn't. It does the job but I just don't care for the button layout, I find the blue back light of the LCD makes it hard to read and I don't like the computer based programming. I had the Universal R7 before that which in retrospect I liked MUCH better but was convinced at the time the Harmony 550 would be an upgrade so I switched.

I think I've given it enough time to grow on me, I'm looking to change again and I'm wanting to stick with Universal due to owning in the past and really liking them. I see the WR7 is an update to the R7 that I previously owned and should suit me fine, plus it's cheap...always a plus.

I also see they have come out with the R50 which looks amazing to me and I know it would be overkill for what I'm looking for so here's the question to those who've had experience with both. Would the added capabilities and features of the R50 and considering day to day operation/ease of use do you think the $69 difference between them is worth it long term. I don't switch out alot as you can tell by me keeping my former one 10 months and didn't like it, so would the price difference be worth it in the long run?

My components are:

Samsung LN40A630 TV
Dish Network HD PVR, not sure of the model but I think it's the 722.
Denon AVR-1610 (soon to be the Onkyo 1007 then the 1610 will be regulated to a bedroom system)
PS3
Panasonic DVD/R that I use mostly for CD playback now that I have the PS3

On a side note I've got a working Harmony 550 that does show signs of wear but is in perfect working condition if anybody wants it.
