So I've had a simple stereo setup forever and now just got a pioneer 1019 receiver. Tried to program it to control my motorola 1216 uverse DVR using the only code listed in the manual. It didn't work.

So I am just wondering what my options are and if nothing else maybe learn something about how this works.
