Trying to figure out what to do with my left surround. It's a Klipsch RS-3 that will hang down from the ceiling about 24'' total. I'm not sure I like the idea of it hanging over the corner of the new bar. (See pic) I could move it back 4' 6" and just have it kiddy corner to the cabinetry, but I'm concerned on throwing the sound symmetry off. What would you do???

If it helps, here are my current speakers, sans the Klipsch sub, I went for a KEF PSW-4000 instead:

I do plan on getting a much beffier amp down the road as well as adding 2 more for full 7.1.

I'd Ebay the RS-3s and put some Klipsch's in the ceiling:

For a surround speaker - I would not worry about moving it ~4' away. That's what setting the speaker distance and db "drive" settings are for.

That's kind of what I was thinking but wanted to get input from those smarter than me. :D My current room has them off more than this and I've never really noticed a problem, but I would like to get the best I can from what I can.

Unfortunately new speakers aren't in the mix quite yet.....

is there a soffit above the bar?

No, but there is a beam that runs the length of the room about 2' north of the side speakers that crosses over the bar.
