I searched but couldn't find much....I have one Dtv D11 downstairs and it feeds via split coaxial four tvs....I finally got my 9100 to accept the wav file for the directv code. Now my question is, how do I program this remote to control power on all of the tvs...or is this possible? I don't necessarily mind carrying the remote to differnet locals, but it's a pain to have to turn on tv with other remote.

thanks!

Yes, it can control all 4. Do you have each on it's own device key already? If not, see "Re-assigning Device Keys" in the MANUAL (http://www.amazon.com/One-All-Universal-Remote-Control/dp/B000069K8N) to assign each to it's own device key (TV1 on TV, TV2 on VCR, TV3 on DVD and TV4 on AUX, for example). If so, you can keymove power for each tv to whatever keys would be convenient for you, like the M keys. See "Using Keymover" in the manual.

You can also do this using only one TV device. Set the TV code for your second TV and then keymove the power key to M1, for example. Then set the TV code for your third TV, keymove the power key to M2, and so on. Finally set the TV code for your first TV and leave it as is. Now TV power will control TV1, M1 will control TV2, etc.

You can keymove to just about any keys except the device keys. So it may be useful to also have the volume keys. I'd probably leave TV1 as is. But then I'd put TV2 power on M1 and TV2 vol+/- on L2 and Move. I'd put TV3 power on M2 and it's vol on L3 and Swap, etc. That way you have a column of buttons for each TV to control power and vol.

On second thought, I think this would work best. Assign the same DirecTV code to 4 different device buttons, then assign TV1 to a 5th device button and keymove it's vol and power to the vol and power keys of the first DirecTV device. Next assign TV2 to the 5th device button and keymove vol and power to the second DirecTV device, and so on for all 4 TVs. I believe you can also customize the LCD text for each mode to show TV1, TV2, Bedrm1, Den, whatever. Then you'd just pick the appropriate device button and it will control the D11 and the right TV using the normal vol and power keys.

If you don't have codes for some of your TVs, post a code search request in the JP1 forums at hifi-remote.com. They're 9910 experts and have codes for almost everything. If a code doesn't exist, they can likely make one and generate a wav file you can load onto your 9910.

awesome reply...thanks a lot! I don't have each tv code in the remote yet...only one. I'll check the manual but since there's only one tv code space, how do I add multiple ones?

**edit** n'm reading figured it out I think as you suggested! So I would just add aux as 2nd tv...then for 3rd and 4th just use dvd or cd or something else as aux?

I edited my post too. I think the best solution is actually the next to last paragraph I added. But to answer your question, yes, that's the correct approach. You have to use the "re-assign" function to change the device type for each button before it will accept the code.

In my preferred solution, you'd actually make any 4 device buttons SAT type devices and assign the same D11 code to all 4. Then pick a 5th device to use for all TVs. Assign TV1's code to that 5th button, do your vol/power keymoves to SAT1, then assign TV2's code to the same button, do your keymoves to SAT2, and so on. I think that will be the easiest to operate in the end.

ok, I am fine assigning the same d11 code 1773 or whatever it is to all 4 device buttons....then say I just use standard TV for the 5th device button. AFter that it gets a little shaky but I am gonna give it a whirl after work. Can you explain how I would operate said setup? Like for instance the keystrokes to operate TV2 or whatever...this may help me visualize setup (the actual buttons don't really matter as they'd be dependent on how I set them up)... It's hard w/o the remote in front of me but at least I have a plan of action. Thanks I sure may have more ?s though I will post if so!

Let's call those 4 Sat device buttons Sat1, 2, 3, 4 (in reality they're something like Sat, Cbl, VCR, Aux, or whatever). After you're done with all your programming, just press Sat1 to control the D11 and the vol/power for TV1. Press Sat2 to control the D11 and the vol/power for TV2, etc. So programming it like I said gives you full control of the D11 but only vol/power for each TV.

If you want full control of each TV, they need dedicated device buttons. TV1 can stay on TV. So press Sat1 to control the D11 with TV1's vol/power. Press TV to control all functions of just TV1 (numbers, menus, etc.). Assign TV2 to some other unused device key like AMP. Then press AMP for full control of just TV2. Assign TV3 to another device key, and so on.

very well put once again I appreciate it and you sir are the man. Now I get it...and like you prefer option 1....no need for any other control except power/volume of tv...will report back after trying to program...
