Here's a room layout proposal - most of it is already in place, but can be changed. Also included is the component layout. Any feedback appreciated, please.
Will have most of the equipment by tomorrow, so I haven't read the manuals etc yet. Hope the choices were good....

I think your setup/equipment is a great choice. Don't obsess over it, if you are happy then in the end game that is all that matters. Now go enjoy your theater.

I assume you already have the couches purchased. If not, then I think I would do two 2-seaters, or a big soft curve with multiple options. I mean, who's the sad guy that has to sit by himself? ;)

The system is installed and works better from the start than I thought.
Startup experience:
- the LG BD player is pretty straightforward and starts very quickly. The Netflix option is turning out to be a very good deal.
- Couldn't download the LG BD390 firmware update. Found that I had to "open" ports in the DLink DIR655 router to bypass it's firewall. DLink and LG tech support were excellent in taking me thru the steps. Update downloaded perfectly after the change.
- NetFlix streaming movies works great! Quality level on 4 of 5 flicks watched came in at HD quality!!! Sound only stereo, though - need to figure that out.
- Pioneer 1019 Rx works great, but is complicated. Need to spend time on learning to control sound options. Sound control is the only thing I have found to be difficult so far.
- Football games in HD, including surround sound, are awesome on the PDP 6010.

Next steps: need advice on consolidating controls, on controlling sound settings (I haven't even done the speaker calibration/setup yet), and need to work on getting more seating. 4 is the max now. Would like to seat 8.
