I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2, then rip then usually RIP movies to .iso images. When I do this, my WDTV Live doen't allow chapter skip or any kind of menu access. If I choose the 'DVD files' output method, it creates .VOB files, but they don't seem to match the chapter settings in the movie - a recent movie I ripped had 4 VOB files, but about 32 chapters.
What is the best way to rip movies to disc so that when I play them back I have chapter access?
Also - can the WDTV Live support DVD menus on standard def or blu-ray?
Thanks for the help!

No.
I can only speak for DVDs, but I use DVD shrink to pluck out the main movie with the AC3 track and the english subtitle track. Then I use MakeMKV to put the resulting VOB files it in a MKV container. This plays great on the WDTV and has chapters enabled. Although I've never checked to see if they are the same chapters as the original DVD. Also, I had to update the firmware from the shipped version.

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated. I'll try MakeMKV tonight myself.
Does the new WD TV Live need a firmware update to play .mkv files?

No, it plays them right out of the box.

I misread the original post, I used an updated firmware for the original WDTV.
