Folks,

Just wanted to share what was new from Berkline at the Market this fall. While I did not see anything that would really stand out, I found a couple of nice things that they offered this time.

Fist of all, there were no new imported groups, and only 3 new domestic home theater groups: 45034, 45035, 45036 - see the pictures below:

This was nice and comfortable, and was shown with lighted cup holders and lighted base rail. The power recline controls are also illuminated - very nice touch. The lighted cup holders are controlled individually for every chair using a button located next to the power recline control.

This is very pleasing looking and quite comfortable recliner, but I did not like the head support, it just does not exist on this one. The pullout mechanism that allows to reveal or close the cup holder was a bit flimsy and as far as I know will be removed by Berkline, and the production will have a stationary armrests without this mech.

This one was also nice and quite comfortable. It had the movable armrests that could be pulled up and positioned between the backs of the recliners forming couch/sectional look. The drawback is that it only comes in the configuration you see on the picture. I was just notified by the Berkline rep that the 45036 group was dropped due to lack of interest.

There were also 3 new groups that were not advertised as Home Theater ones, but can pretty much be used in the Home Theater or any media room: 70111, 70112 and 70113. They are very similar with different stitching on the seat and the back. They are modular, and armrest can be purchased separately. These are only available in fabric - see the pictures below.

Another new non-HT group - 40090. This I think was a replacement of the 45083. This groups targets the audience that wants to have more of a family room casual furniture with the elements of the home theater (cup holders and pull up armrests.). Again it was quite comfortable. It comes in the 3 seat sofa, and 2 seat loveseat and a separate chair (the chair does not have the cup holders).

The most memorable and impressive were the Berkline Shiatsu recliners. They really did a nice job there - see the pictures below.

Their top of the line 16027 model was quite impressive. It has a button that moves the chair into "Zero" gravity position where it elevates your knees to the level of the hart and brings the spine parallel to the floor eliminating pressure on the backs vertebrae. It also has an auto-scan feature, and it adjusts massage to perfectly fit your body. With all the features - Shiatsu and Swedish massage, air pressure system, kneading, rolling, tapping, clapping, dual and triple action, vibration it is like having your own massage therapist in your house :) The remote control has so many buttons, that it would probably take a couple of days just to learn what they all do. See the pictures below...

Thanks, that is a good looking seat! Do you know when it may be available to the public?

Little concerned about the 23.5" seat width as I am with the 45032 in the other thread

It is available now for ordering.

As I mentioned in the other thread, unless you are really big guy, the 23.5" seat is more than enough to feel comfortable in it. I actually prefer it over 25" seat.

Another question:
Obviously full leather is the whole chair in leather, but the leather plus is a leather/vinyl mix. Where exactly is the vinyl?

The matching vinyl will be on the sides of the armrests and back of the chairs.

wow, the 45034 looks pretty nice as well and seems to be a contender with the 45032. how do the 2 compare comfort wise as specs seem similar but 45034 has higher back. and, is pricing between these 2 models very close?

Both are nice. The 45034 is a bit more expensive.
