Hi everyone, I hope someone sees this thread. Our tv has been acting up all week. This is the second time writing this thread so I will make this much shorter. These are the problems: flickering, vertical lines that look like little boxes and then there is the green color moving up the screen from the bottom kind of like a histogram. Has anyone had these problems? How much to fix? Are you scraping the tv or fixing them. Repairman just took it to his shop today and left us a 42" Mitsubishi DLP. HE says the flickering probably the color wheel. The lines could be the light engine. This is all sounding very expensive. How expensive??? Thank you for any input.

We have a 72HM195 that just did the same thing. This is the 4th time in 3 year that we have had a problem with this TV. The first three times it was the bulb, this time it's the light engine, which they don't make anymore so we had to send ours back to have it refurbished.. If you don't have an extended warranty, it will be very expensive, fortunately we do. We still have two years left on the warranty, but, after this and finding out that Toshiba doesn't stand by it's products, we are scrapping and going with a Plasma. I hate to go down in the screen size, but having our tv go out for a month at the beginning of football season was just too much.
