i have this fan noise coming on a few seconds after turning on television and is pretty loud. noise stops about 5-10 seconds after turning television on.
it is a samsung dlp hlp6163w xaa
is it the color wheel or the cooling fan?

You can look at the color wheel if you take out the bulb and look behind it. If The color wheel is cracked or broken, you know it's the color wheel. If not, it could be the fan.
