Should I be running a Full range on a Panasonic TH42PX60u? I cannot seem to find the answer anywhere.

I am not even 100% sure on what the difference between the two settings are.

I have the tv calibrated using the "limited" selection. When I switch to Full, The blue background in the menu screen seems to get richer, but I didn't leave it like that until I got a chance to come here and ask.

Thanks!

yes, the tv's hdmi colorspace should be set to LIMITED and the PS3 to FULL, also make sure under VIDEO SETTINGS in the ps3's setting menu, where u can choose the output mode, as in either RGB or the YcB , set it to AUTOMATIC so u dont force any colorspace on any game or anything, and you should be set ;)

The Full (Wide) colorspace is usually used for PC monitors. The Limited (Standard) colorspace is usually used for TV's. If your TV supports both, then just make sure that you have the same settings on the PS3 and your TV. Then you can calibrate your TV.

killzone 2 will show you why you don't leave things on the wrong setting. The brightness calibration setting has a symbol in the background that you won't be able to see at all if your tv doesn't support Full
