If your stick is this one (http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/arcade-sticks/hori-real-arcade-pro-3-sa-ps3-new/) I'd say it a very good trade.

It is possible for you to mod the HRAP3 to play on Xbox 360, but it does involve soldering and some other PCB's.

This is pretty much what you're looking at if you want to dual mod.

I would suggest visiting the Shoryuken (SRK) forums in the Tech talk for more information.

this is the one hes selling:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Hori-USB-PS3-Real-Arcade-Pro-3-Fighting-Sanwa-Stick_W0QQitemZ180424055295QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Ac cessories?hash=item2a021c99ff

i defintley cant do the mod to make it work for the 360, so ill need to repurchase SF4 and possibly also soul calibur as i will only have tekken 6 for the PS3,

Yea, they're basically the same stick, except for the buttons/color. I prefer the full sanwa stick though, either way, both sticks are a good deal if you decide to trade.

It's a very good deal. I have the HRAP3 and modded it with Sanwa buttons, but in truth the stock buttons are excellent. I just had to try Sanwa for myself, but now that I've used both I know that I would have been absolutely fine with the stock buttons.

Also, remember that Super Street Fighter 4 is going to come out on a separate disk, and you can easily buy that for the PS3 if that is where you have your stick.

Considering he could sell it online for much more than that (still going for ~$90 used), you're getting a great deal. Can't for the life of me figure out why he'd do that. He's basically giving it away at that price!

You can't dual mod PS3 sticks as easily as 360 sticks. If that's your goal, you're better off buying a second stick for your 360. Regardless, with the deal you're getting, it's worth it just for Tekken alone. Lucky bastard.

okay guys, i just came home from work and i met the guy today just now after i left work and we traded just like i mentioned above, i gave him my SIXAXIS ps3 controller(not dualsock3) which is new tho, i barely used it(i use my dualshock3 all the time) and the $20 and basically he gave me the hori arcade stick pro3, the thing is in PRISTINE condition, i mean if i told you its brand new then you would believe it is in any way, theres no signs of use at all :)

Here at home when im looking at it its very nice, it has that arcade feel to it, im pretty happy with the trade, i cant wait for Tekken 6 tommorow so i can play with it! ;)

Ill let you guys kno how i like it, i have a question guys, i read about how people change the buttons to the SANWA buttons and that they are much better, my question is, where is the cheapest place to buy these SANWA buttons and how do i change the buttons? is it hard to do?

Wow, you got an awesome deal.

I got a HRAP3 for SFIV and decided to mod it with a Seimitsu Bubble Top and Seimitsu buttons. The difference between Sanwa and Seimitsu is that the Seimitsu buttons are a little more "clickier". It's all a matter of preference though.

I got my stuff from http://www.akihabarashop.jp/

They have AWESOME customer service. They take a picture of your order before it ships and email it to you to make sure they get it right. They're top notch.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Here's a pic of mine:

I'll be picking up Tekken this week for PS3 also.

Great deal to me.

I bought the cheap SFIV Mad Catz stick for $30 and then swapped out the stick and buttons with Sanwa parts for about another $30 bucks.

Thanks!

The 24mm buttons are for the start (smaller) buttons and the 30mm buttons are the regular ones.

Good to hear you got the controller in very good condition. I'm going to be making a multi-system custom stick once the new chImp boards come out :D :D

where is the cheapest place to buy these SANWA buttons and how do i change the buttons? is it hard to do?Buttons are cheap no matter where you get them from. Quite a few options for online ordering (got my stuff through Lizard Lick). With the HRAP3, it's ridiculously easy to swap the buttons, joystick, faceplate. Highly suggest heading to the SRK tech forums if you're interested.

Took me no more than 5-10mins to get Sanwa buttons and a new ball-top in mine. Still haven't decided on a faceplate design I like, so I haven't done that yet. Congrats on the great deal. I use mine on a lot of PSN titles also. Gives everything a nice, arcadey feel. :D

IMO they are not much better, it was mostly a fad around SF4, a bunch of people modding them because that is what they thought the cool kids do, but for 99.9% of people, the stock buttons in the HRAP3 are just fine.

Even someone like me who's never owned a stick prior to this one can tell that the Sanwa buttons feel different from the stock Hori ones. Are they "better"? That's something I'll leave to the more experienced folks. Regardless, buttons are super cheap, and it's fun to have something to fiddle with and easily modify.

I agree that you do notice a difference. And like I said, it's a matter of preference but I really love the Seimitsu buttons.

I could definitely tell a difference between the Hori and the Seimitsu and so could my friend.

My next mod will be adding some artwork to my HRAP3 and modding my HFS3. I may go Sanwa on the HFS3.

I have a HRAP3 and a SF4 TE stick, so yea I know the difference. I also know it does't make a lick of difference for 99.9% of people. It won't make your "game" better or anything else. It's like those pump sneakers from the late 1990s.

I wouldn't say 99% because myself and my friend both preferred the modded buttons. Also, most posters here are pretty "hardcore" gamers so the number is further skewed. Plus there's the "style" factor of having something that looks different.

I agree with this. The stock Hori buttons are really high quality. I admit that I got a little bit carried away by the hype and purchased some Sanwa replacements, but in retrospect I realize that I could have pocketed the money I spent and been just fine.

It just so happened that I used to be a pretty enthusiastic SF2 player back in the day and that probably lead to my being a little bit more susceptible to hype then is usually the case.
