So I was watching TF2 the other night when all of a sudden, my PS3 just shuts off and starts with the blinking red light issue. I blurt out, "Thats not good" and proceed to throw a total hissy fit. Meanwhile, my wife says, didnt we buy the extended warranty? So I called up Best Buy and told them what happened, and the told me to just bring it in for a direct swap.

SO....

I got rid of my older 40g model with a brand spanking new 120g model AND a new TS2 bluray movie as mine was still in the machine.

One of the few times I actually bought an extended warranty and it paid off.

But you can't install Linux now.

My 60GB launch unit is still kicking, but I did use my BB extended warranty to trade in my faulty sixaxis for a new one (common issue at the time).
