I'm missing quite a bit of information off the top and maybe little all around. I'm most interested in dropping top so I can see the tickers and info that scroll on top.

I'm guessing by my searching of old posts that this isn't easily done. Nice thread on shimming the crts, but that's more than I want to get into. Would the service menu adjustments be too difficult to tweak for the novice?

I took the screens off last week and cleaned the lenses and mirror. Left off the protective screen and the picture is now very vibrant and it makes me want to keep this old dinosaur. Except for the overscan, to my old eyes, the picture is excellent.

What would an ISF calibrator charge me for just correcting overscan? Not touching anything else, just giving me full picture? I'm running Directv 1080i and 480p DVD on a single input.
